Abandoned Vermont: Bloomfield Church

Preservation in Pink

Bloomfield, VT is a small crossroads on the Connecticut River. Across the bridge is Stratford, NH. The general store is closed and not many houses populate this town. This church sits next to the town offices, the former school. Based on the piles of boxes in the windows, the church is abandoned or sorely neglected and used for storage. This poor thing has seen better days (note the missing steeple). The neighbors’ stuff is piled in the rear and on one side of the building, so I didn’t snap photos of all elevations.

Churches seem to be common abandoned or neglected buildings. What can we do about these? Another topic for another time, perhaps.

‘Of course Doctor Who is a children’s show’ says Steven Moffat – but that doesn’t mean it’s childish

Whoogle NEWS

The Time Lord helps kids face their fears – and teaches them nothing beats using your brain – says Doctor Who Adventures editor Natalie Barnes

“Of course it’s a children’s show,” said Steven Moffat, when I asked him his thoughts on whether Doctor Who belongs to kids. “It’s about an alien time traveller who has adventures in a spaceship disguised as a police box. And just look at the character of the Doctor? He’s totally ridiculous.”

Doctor Who may have been originally created as a kids’ show, but that doesn’t mean it’s childish. It’s intelligent, at times complex, well written and very funny. It deals with some pretty weighty issues, too – loss, loneliness and death.

The BBC has come under fire for being ‘too dark’ before, but if we ask any of our readers what they want, the answer is almost always ‘more monsters!’ Sure, it can be a…

You know what I find ridiculous ?
The fact that Mainland chinese mothers are buying so much infant formula from specifically hk and not near them such that there is an actual shortage in hk, causing the government to create a law to limit number of cans that can be brought back.

And now that that’s happened, these families turn to sucking up supplies from the uk…

Like what ?

People now sell infant formula on craigslist, shipping it from north america.

Wow.

I used to know a boy who loved to play with fire.

He’s no longer a boy, but sometimes I wonder if deep within his mind, that fire still blazes alongside the many legal terms within his head.

I value

– hard work
– commitment

And most controversially, pain.

I know this literally earns me the title of sadistic, but it’s hard to explain.

Maybe I just value the downs as much as the ups?
