A Schizophrenic suicide.
things don’t always get to me but this got to memake the voices stop
Can we take a moment here?
Look at this.
I literally just came out of my ab psych lecture on schizophrenia, and the one thing that stuck in mind, touched me the most— people with schizophrenia are more likely to hurt themselves (like the above) than hurt someone else.
So why does every television crime show feature murderers whose motives are based in mental illness, when someone is more likely to be run over by a car? I mean, you don’t see people hating the entire population of drivers of cars, because a small percentage of them could face a car accident, wherever the blame is.
(also side note: If what is said in the caption is true, then this is case of suicide of a person with schizophrenia, not a “schizophrenic” suicide. Regardless of having a mental illness or not, he or she is not his/her mental illness.)
